Ohio Lawn Care Chemical Application Laws & Licensing Requirements

8th May 2025 | Chemical Tracking, Lawn Care Business Resources Ohio Lawn Care Chemical Application Laws & Licensing Requirements

Applies to Lawn & Ornamental / Turf Applications

These requirements apply to lawn care companies performing pesticide applications to turf and ornamental landscapes in Ohio, including:

  • Weed control (herbicides)
  • Insect control (insecticides)
  • Disease control (fungicides)
  • Any product with an EPA Registration Number, including Restricted Use Pesticides (RUPs)

Even if your business does not perform structural pest control, applying these products to lawns places you under Ohio pesticide regulations.

Greg Buck
Weed Wise, Owner

Spraye is a powerful tool to manage your business. Callie and Brian are very helpful during the onboarding process. Initially, it’s a daunting process to get everything setup. Spraye is not your typical cookie cutter CSM. The platform has been well designed for business owners that desire an edge in running their business and managing operations. The delivered product after the initial setup is far better than any of the competitors in the lawn care CSM arena. I would highly recommend Spraye to any lawn care company that is serious about their success.

Derek Chisum
C-Four Spraying, Owner

Takes me 2 minutes to schedule a technician’s route in the morning. Before, I was taking around 30 minutes every day. And the routes are automatically optimized. Now all my technician has to do is log on and follow the route provided for him.
